THIS ROLE HAS BEEN FILLED
We are a small team working towards public launch in November this year, initially this will be in NZ. However the team are based in Sydney at Gravity co-working next to Wynyard station.
All of the team have been involved in 3+ successful product creations before so we are not the stereotypical idealistic startup. We have the funding required to get the product to market and a business model to quickly develop self-sufficiency.
Our product is a self service solution through apps and the web for landlords and tenants that reduces the cost and frustration associated with rental properties. By refining tenant selection, rental collection, a maintenance marketplace, peer to peer landlord support, digital inspections and the creation, execution and storage of documents in the cloud we intend on bringing an archaic sector into the 21st century.
We're building the new app on edge Ruby on Rails using Turbolinks, Webpacker and ActiveStorage. We take pride in our work taking care to ensure code is tested through RSpec and adheres to community standards through CodeClimate. We push through GitHub, test through Heroku CI and deploy to fresh Heroku Pipelines. Cool new toys that we try to use The Rails Way.

We keep things focused but we do not have a formal management structure or project managers. We expect everyone to take responsibility and ownership of their role but to also contribute to the project direction. Ideas and decisions come from within the team and not from the "top down".
Remuneration will be based on experience and skill. We are happy to bring someone in with either senior or intermediate experience. ESS could be available to the right candidate but not until you have worked within the team for at least 6 months.
