Can landlords conduct property inspections on the weekend?

7 November 2024

Absolutely!

Landlords can absolutely conduct property inspections on the weekend. This flexibility can be a convenient option, especially if weekday schedules are tight. However, it’s important to follow a few key rules to ensure the process remains smooth and compliant.

Inspection Hours

Inspections can only take place between 8 am and 7 pm. This timeframe applies to any day of the week, including weekends, to provide tenants with a predictable and respectful inspection experience.

Required Notice

Landlords must give tenants at least 48 hours' notice before any inspection. This requirement helps tenants prepare for the inspection and minimises any inconvenience.

By keeping these guidelines in mind, landlords can schedule inspections at times that work best for them while ensuring a positive experience for tenants.
