How to change email notifications for tenants or myself

You and your tenants have the power to turn on and off myRent notifications.

Some notifications are necessary for the tenancy management system to work efficiently and are hardcoded into myRent. Those notices include announcements that a new tenancy agreement was created and requires review and signature, a notice to remedy was issued, a new property inspection was scheduled, and a message from the tenant was received. Such notices cannot be disabled.

Some notifications can be switched on and off. These will include reminders to reconcile rent or upcoming rent reminders. Both tenants and landlords have access to these controls under Notifications Settings.

Step 1: Click on your initials at the top of your page, then go to the "My Details" section of your account.

Step 2: Select "Notification preferences" in the left-hand side menu.

Step 3: Select or deselect which notifications you would like to switch on/off and press "save".

Both landlords and tenants have control over their own notifications. If they need to update notifications settings, please send them these instructions or share the link to the page - https://www.myrent.co.nz/notification_preferences.
