The studio is cute and charming, a haven right in the bush for the eco-conscious, artistic, meditative, musical, community-spirited and anyone who enjoys peaceful living close to nature. We have chickens, a compost outhouse, and lots of protected mature native bush. It's rustic so leaves, trees, a bit of mud are all part of living in the bush.

The studio suits one to two people with a cosy living area, sleeping or storage loft, wood burner, and a deck overlooking forest. Insulated, warm and clean. Toilet and laundry are shared with a friendly neighbour but the house and bathroom are private.

No flooding, leaks, or issues. If you're skilled in landscaping, tree work, carpentry, drainage, or you're a capable handyman or woman you'd fit right in too, there's always work available around the place if you want to join in.
The caretaker (part-time property manager) is friendly and responsive.

Expenses are flat rate weekly $40 for all utilities (fibre, hot water, and power) and furnishings including queen bed, fridge, heater, cooktop, washing machine, jug, toaster oven (no full oven), dehu etc.

A few minutes to Henderson shopping centre, train station, and under 30 minutes to Piha beach.

It's down a long driveway and the turning circle is a bit tight so not suitable for large vehicles (wagons, trucks etc). Hatchbacks, small 4x4s and motorbikes no problem - Demio, Note, Tiida, Golf, Fit, Swift, Jimny etc. Also lowered cars struggle.

No cats/dogs. No smokers.
