Listing availability
A myRent listing should be considered available unless it is marked as "under offer" or “rented”.
Contacting the landlord of available listings
The best way to contact a landlord of a property advertised through myRent is to use the enquiry form on the listing to send a message. You don’t need a myRent account to create an enquiry, but creating one will allow you to send additional messages, reply to a landlord, book viewings and create applications.
How to stand out from the crowd
When enquiring, it’s a great idea to include why you like the property and believe you would make a good tenant along with any other relevant info.
Viewings
Each landlord organises viewings for their property. The listing page will display any scheduled open homes. You also have the ability to contact the landlord directly through your enquiry to request a private viewing or to follow up/reschedule an existing viewing.
Applications
You can complete an application online for a property you’re interested in provided you have a valid government-issued photo ID. Options to apply are on the myRent listing page and through your access to the enquiry on myRent. Good news - you only ever need to complete the application once, and then use it to apply to rent other properties you might be interested in.
Landlord responses
As listings can experience a high volume of enquiries/applications it means a landlord may be delayed in replying or being able to reply to all individual enquiries. If you have an open enquiry our system will update you of any responses or if the status of the listing changes.
Status updates
Whether it’s good or bad news we will let you know of any decided outcome of your enquiry/application.
Technical Support
While each listing is managed by the landlord of the property, myRent customer support is on hand if you need any help using the site.
We hope this guide helps you find your ideal rental property.
